Epidemiology and management in healthcare
€ 28,00

This book, which starts from the assumption that it is more appropriate to tackle complex, multidisciplinary issues, like healthcare management, funding and assessment, with a solid grounding in epidemiology, sets out to acquaint the reader with the basic methods that guarantee a correct approach to work carried out in the public health and healthcare management sectors.
To aid understanding of these sometimes complex topics, a targeted and concise narrative style is used.
The language is decidedly informal and there are plenty of examples of studies actually carried out and published. This approach makes for an interesting read and immediate understanding of the concepts presented.
The book is divided into three sections: the first two concern epidemiological methods and efficacy assessments of interventions carried out in the health sector, while the third deals with healthcare organisation, operation, funding and assessment.
The aim is to provide a grounding in the epidemiological methods deemed essential to the identification, rinvenire, interpretation and assessment of scientific evidence, enabling the reader to apply correctly his epidemiological knowledge in his own work, having a clear overview of the main methodologies used in healthcare organisation, funding and quality assessment.
